Rocker Molding Trim Cutlass
Hey out there. I am a few weeks out finishing a 1980 442 (Vin verifies its real) I will say this right now that I'd like to really know how did the workers who installed all that rocker - door and fender
molding without scratching the paint OR how they went about installing them to begin with, it's a horrible design? The repro clips I bought are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and were in no shape or form the correct width top to bottom. The round metal clips work great of course as the top slides down on them and the molding has screws at the bottom.
When I pulled down from the top of the door molding to compress the antenna looking spring ends- the bottom edge of the molding was not even close to reaching the edge of the clip.
Anyhow - enough of my ranting.
My question is - is the molding trim (especially the piece that goes down the side of the bottom door) the same width and length to that on a 81-87 Cutlass?
Thanks for anyone's time.
