Reproduction 1971 bumpers?

I looked into having my original bumpers straightened and chromed but its just to expensive for me right now. Can anyone tell me if the new re-pops are decent enough for a nice daily driver?

thanks
leche

I have seen some of the re-pops first hand and I think that they look ok, but they seem a little flimsy; thinner metal, chrome is very bright, but it almost looks "too bright" if you know what I mean. I don't know about how well they fit and I would bet money that the chrome would peel away if given a chance. Might be a good stop gap until you find some originals that are in good enough shape to re-do.

Took over 10 years for my repro to look used. And it sat outside during those 10 years. I have one spot that had chipped. Overall fit was pretty good.... I have a rear cutout repro, and it's slightly narrower than stock. Sits real close to the quarter panels, but I like the look better.

Thanks for the input. I guess im going re pop. for the price of re chroming my front I can get both front and rear new and have enough left over for a bite to eat and something to drink......

I see most of them start in the mid-200's+. How much to redo the originals? Just curious.
