looking to replace my (black) top on my 70 cutlass supreme. two questions:which vendor or brand would be the closest to the original? and do i want vinyl or canvas? the one i have now is vinyl and i think it could be the original top...thanks Alan

Robbins and Kee are two quality top manufacturers that I know of and have used in the past.

Original was vinyl with glass window.

thanks kenneth, i will look them up. thats what i have now, vinyl with glass. my top is in not too bad of condition (no rips or holes) its the material thats above my head (liner?) thats hanging down in various places

Is it the pad that is hanging down? That's a strip on each side, about 6" wide, that acts as a cushion between the metal frame and the top material.

The outside I treated with black top conditioner and it looks pretty good but down the road I will need a new top... thanks for the reply Alan

Ah, the cotton(?) backing material is disintegrating. That happens over time with heat and humidity. Definitely new top time.
