48 Olds 455 engine build
Ok,
Today I am in Galt, Ca. at a customers plant and met a guy who has a 455 eagle crank drilled for stick transmission. The oil holes on the crank have also been cross drilled. It is still in the box. He wants $250.00 for it. I have the 455 for the 48 Olds and I'm thinking this might be a good deal for the engine build. What does the group think? Is it a good deal? I am going to spray this motor and I am loking for 600+ hp. Thanks in advance for the input

If you can call your local machinist from where you are at you could ask him what he would charge you to drill your stock crank for a stick transmission. I would say jump on it like a fat kid on a cupcake!
You would probably spend at least $100 to have your crank drilled by your machinist.
