Can anyone throw some thoughts on the specs and sequence for valve cover bolts on 1970 Olds with 455? Also, I glued the cork gaskets with some 3M weatherstripping adhesive around covers, but no sealant to the head's surface. Is this okay or do I need to add sealant? Thanks.

Don't put any sealant on the head side. Torque is 7#s, I just snug and go another 1/4 - 1/2 turn. Start in center and work your way out alternating from bottom to top.

Here it stands. 7 ft lbs for valvecovers.
