There's plenty of room, I can at least fit a dime between them No notch in them, they had to be tall to fit the roller rockers. They are a cheepy set, I think around $35 bucks. I don't know if I need then quiet so high but they are good enough for now.

Comp cam 290/296 .515/.533
forged speed pro 40 over pistons
torker intake
Holley 4150 carb
Pertronix distributor
Hooker comp headers
Ga heads ported & polished with comp valve job
Should be 10-1
The usual balancing and the other good stuff

Well that would be a big ballpark around 7k. I had a bunch of parts to do the build, but unfortunately I wasn't able to use them so I had to buy new. I had a set of .30 pistons but my block had already been cut (which I didn't know) so I had to go with .40 over. The roller rockers I had didn't work either, the heads were in good shape, they just needed to be freshened up, etc etc etc. It of course snowballed from there. All the little things added up in the end to make a big thing

New engine pics, video coming soon! Gages on manifold are temporary. Still have to straighten out the plug wires and vacuum line.

Man, x2 ...it looks great!
The tranny lines look really close to the header pipe...on my 70, I brought them above them to prevent them from rubbing....
I assume the brake booster vacume line is a hose and not a steel line..
Just some thoughts....
Looking forward to vid
