I'm nearly at a point to where I need to purchase cylinder heads for my 455 build. I'm shooting for 500hp street motor that will run on 91 octane pumped gas. I know edelbrocks with work would get me there. I'm wondering if the Procomps with work would do the same, but I can't seem to find any proof that they will.

Anyone has dyno numbers on these heads?

Edelbrocks without work will get you there...as long as you do your part on the rest of the engine.

If you google some of the jet boat sites, there are guys running them out of the box w/ success.
No dyno numbers that I have seen yet. There are several posts here and on ROP where they have been flow tested and are very comparable to the edelbrocks.

I have a set that will be going on my 455 build, but it won't be ready to fire until this summer at best. I am "family" limited by budget & time - LOL.

We have a local club chassis dyno session that will be end of July- I'm hoping that i'll have it in the car and running by then.

Would you mind elaborating on your latter statement a little for me? I thought the big HP/TQ making capability is in the heads. I know the cam will play into making power, and I think I have a big enough cam to do it. It's a hydraulic roller cam, 236/242 .555/.575 lift, 112* LSA 108* ICL. I'm thinking an edelbrock rpm intake or procomp's version if I go with their heads. Full roller rockers of course.

Will this combo make 500hp on 91 octane? Compression would be around 10.25. All input is welcomed and appreciated.
