Exclamation More Distributor Gear Corrosion :/

Hey guys, sorry to repost but my other thread kinda started to not get views and I got a new problem, haha. Before I finish and seal this thing up, I see some corrosion on the points below the weights of the rotor. Is this going to cause problems? If so, how can I clean it up? Any thoughts?

that is the worst idea.
oil attracts dirt, dirt attracts moisture.

leave it alone.

but with the cap sealed & rubber seal on the wire harness there should be no way that dirt gets in..
either way- the rust poses no problem

The distributor cap does not seal to the distributor base.

If it did, ions, such as ozone, from the rotor sparking, would build up inside, ultimately bridging the spark to all wires at once.

THAT is not rust, sir.

That's totally negligible.

What, are you in Arizona or something?
