clutch spring

where can you hook the clutch spring if you don't have the hole for stud on your starter? Can you make a bracket from some where else or do you need to put stud on the starter? thanks

There's a hole in the frame, almost directly next to the starter area.I've done that a few times.

clutch spring

Brian, Thanks for the reply. Since the time I asked this question, I did locate the stud hole. I just didn't know it was that high up. I was able to clear hole of silicon and screw stud in with out droping the started down. I'm moving closer to finishing this convertion with a few more odds and ends to do. I'm REALLY looking forward to driving it with the 4 speed!! thanks again,Michael
