Olds Cast Iron Manifold

Hello,

I need some help with trying to figure out what this hole is to the right of the secondaries, between # 5 and #7. I don't recall ever seeing a hole like this on these manifolds. I don't think it will cause any sealing issues, but would like to know if anyone has seen this before. Any help will be appreciated!

I have seen these on most all cast iron manifolds. Its just there...

There is no hole between the #5 and #7 runners. Are you talking about the cast hole in the flange between the exhaust crossover and the #5 runner? That's likely used to locate the rough casting for finish machining.
