Anyone have an on the engine picture of the correct throttle return spring and bracket for a 66 442 4-speed car? Anyone have an extra bracket and spring for sale?

Thanks

The difference is the L shaped bracket. The top leg is longer for Tri Carbs.

Is that where the spring is located? On the bell crank? If so so my spring is missing.

The return srping is part of the bellcrank, goes from a "tab" the "L" bracket" that the throttle rod connects to, to another "tab" on the part of the bellcrank assembly that bolts to the firewall. As far as I know, there is no diff between 4 bbl and trr-carb cars with respect to the spring.

You could use a secondary spring from the carb linkage to the "loop" on the intake manifold (or somewhere else) for extra caution, but it would not be "factory".

Hi Dave,

The spring is in this picture, I think the one I sent to your e-mail was unreadable. Figured I'd post it here. This is from my 67 manual, 66 probably similar. I used to have a backup spring attached to the engine lift hook.

Dave,

I just went out to my Blue car and the spring is missing on mine also
I was going to pull it and try to find a duplicate. Hey but looking at the picture, the auto is the same. My Ivory car has the spring, I'll hook you up if need be.
