I was removing my oil pressure sending unit and the dang thing broke. I was able to back out the brass threads stuck down in. I was careful but I got a couple of micro particles down the hole. I took a q-tip and swabbed the hole and the landing down in there. I snagged a few particles. Very tiny and can only see if reflecting light.
Now for the dumb question, should I pull off the timing cover? There is only few thousand miles on the engine.

Make a short hose to thread into the oil sender hole, put the other end of the hose into a bucket. Add a couple extra quarts of oil, have a helper start the engine, make sure your helper shuts down the engine before you drain the oil pan.

Btw, pulling the timing cover will gain nothing. There is no acces to the oil passage without engine removal and complete tear down
