Question Harmonic Balancer rebuild

I have a simple question.does anybody have any first hand dealings with the two rebuilders in Califorina Damper Doctor or Damper Dudes. I need to get the balancer from my 67-442 rebuilt. Just wondering good or bad or are there any other place to use?

I have heard damper doctor is good. I found the particular balancer I needed in good shape and had one that slipped I was going to get fixed.

Last week I had the damper DR rebuild my original L71 435 HP 427 balancer, it came back with .026 run out, I called them, the owner told me he had new help and .020 was allowable according to factory spec, I asked for half my money back they agreed with no problems.

Damper Dudes rebuilt the damper on my 54 and I have been very pleased with them.

Had Damper Dr rebuild two 425 dampers. both are perfect. Was over a year ago and no problems.

Damper Doctor did a 1970 LT-1 Corvette damper for me about 10 years ago. When I reassembled the engine, I checked it with my degree wheel and it was right on.

I asked them to leave the original factory paint on and they did so.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with balancer rebuilds. I shipped mine to Damper Dudes. Thanks again.

It sounds like you could have flipped a coin and it would have been heads you win, tails you don't lose. Good luck on your repair.
