Forgot Gasket - Fix or Ignore
Installed oil pump and the pickup for the canton oil pan. When cleaning up found gasket that is supposed to go between oil pump and the pickup. Should I pull the oil pan and put it on?

That stinks but I think Efi gave the only good answer, just the other day I was working on my snowmobile, I had a small part I didn't want to lose and wanted to be sure to get in place during assembly, sure enough I finished assembly and realized the small part was still on the bench #%^^ĄŁ€>*... So I disassembled everything I had just done and reassembled correctly...for some reason nothing irks me more than taking apart something I just put together no matter what the reason! Good luck you'll feel better after you get it done!

I agree with EFI that it is best to install the gasket because you are unsure of the condition of the surfaces.
This would be your responsibility and risk if you go this alternate route to estimate the integrity of the joint...
Get a large-diameter (4 to 6") pressure gauge and install in place of the pressure sender. Or put the pressure sensor voltage signal into an oscilloscope. Watch pressure as you slowly increase rpm from idle up to 2000 rpm with cold oil. The oil pressure should be rock steady. If you see any irregular variations, you are pulling air though the joint.
