Olds engine builders southeast
Looking for a quality, trustworthy, and reasonable engine shop to go through my 65 400. Out of a 65 442. Engine was removed a few years ago running. I prefer not to stick it in without going through it just in case. Thanks.

Engine.
Mid florida is closer than VA depending on what part of florida. I'm looking for someone familiar with olds engines especially 65 400, or at least knows they have some unique characteristics. Enginr was said to have been rebuilt and driven a couple years before being pulled. Then it sat covered in a garage. I'd like the engine broke down, inspected, and cleaned. Then all new gaskets and reassembled. Hope is that is all that needs to be done to it. If previously rebuilt most likely bored. Took a chance since 65 442 400s are getting hard to come by. So long story short any recommendations on a shop that is honest and reliable appreciated.

Mark Remmel(Cutlassedi) is in Winter Haven. I have been dealing with him for probably 10 years, he has never let me down. I know he fixed a 400 that another Olds builder did a half *** job on.

Mark is in Florida, has Mark ever built a complete engine for you? Anyone on here Mark built a complete engine for and has any time on the engine want to give a product report?

There have been a few done by him, one failure and he made it right. 72OldsGold350 just got a SBO stroker running. He has fixed at least one Olds experts mess for a member here. No he hasn't done one for me, finally a bit ahead on bills. I am completely letting Mark choose my combo, probably for the best, it will make more power. I would probably be too conservative on the compression and cam. I will use a local machine shop and assemble as time and money allows.

Yes, I'am very interested too see how this one runs at the track (72 Olds 350) I think he said he would be going to the track with it, Washington is good air, should be interesting.

VORTECPRO lay off the comments towards Mark. It's more than getting old. You know there's more than one way to skin a cat. Yours and his are different with similar results. So stop please.
