New 425 oil pan ?

Hey guys,
The oil pan on the 425 I am doing is beat to death and has been welded up etc. I have a 307 pan but it does not have the baffle in it so I decided not to use it.

Has anyone used one of these pans from Summit ?

Any other suggestions for a completely stock replacement pan ?

That part seem to be hit and miss, always read the reviews. I bought a mini starter, their brand, I never read the reviews. It wasn't right out of the box and went up in smoke. I read the reviews later, many had the same issue. The BBO not only has the baffle but more clearance for the extra stroke.

My typical MO re reviews is to read the bad ones first and look for a common theme. In this case most complaints were the baffle hit the pump pick up and bending it cured the problem.

there were a few that said the drain plug leaked or the rails were not flat, but there were many more that stated no issues.

If it were me and i needed a cheap pan i would give it a go. The relatively minor issues appear to have caused most of the negative reviews

I used one of these but I would need to ask my machine shop if there was any issues.
