Metallic blue BBO engine paint 1970 and later

Anyone have the metallic blue engine paint code for 1970 and later? A rattle can reasonable facsimile? Gonna spruce up the 455 that's going in the '70 Cutlass S. I would like it to look *right* sitting in there...
Thanks all...

I like the one Super Cars sell. Had some from another vendor, and it did not look right to me, to much like a Pontiac color, more teal.

I have a partial can from Napa, Nect time I’m in the garage I’ll see if the paint code is still legible.

Thanks Matt, those cans are expensive! Especially when ya need like 3 cans to do an engine...

Thorton's is my current preferred. I think I posted a thread on here comparing 5 or so different off-the-shelf spray cans, probably something like "engine blue comparo" or something. I really liked Hirsch's in the 90's/early 2000's, but somewhere they added some green.
Yeah, this junk ain't cheap.

I’ve got a 455 on a cradle that I painted. I think it’s the closest I’ve seen to the factory color; I’ve got a couple cans left... if you want a pic of the engine and the label on the can, let me know.

Yes! That would help out a lot. Would be nice to see in pics and the brand you used...
Thanks!

What I’ve got is the Supercars Unlimited paint. Interesting that the can says “lacquer”, I guess we will see how it holds up.

Engine’s a bit dusty, sorry about that.

Hope this helps.

Also Supercars Unlimited paint. Interestingly looks a bit different. 3 medium coats took about 3.25 cans.

Lighting and camera differences most likely.
Thanks!
