Carb help

I could use some help identifying a Rochester Q-jet. When I purchased my 69 442 over 20 years ago, there was a Holley double pumper installed. The previous owner gave me the "original" Rochester Q-jet wrapped up in plastic. I attempted to research this carb the best I can tell it came off a 1968 Pontiac GTO. Is it possible that some Oshawa built 442's had this carb installed at the factory? The numbers are 7048263. Any help us appreciated.

Please post a photo of the stamped carb ID number and some overall photos of the carb. I cannot find 7048263 as a valid Rochester carb number. A 1968 carb would start with 7028... A 1978 carb would start with 17058...

68 Poncho 400-428 is what I came up with.

Yes, 7028263 is a 1968 Pontiac carb used on 400 and 428 motors. No, it was not installed by Olds at the factory, no way, no how. It is not the original carb.

Thanks Joe! Can you please help with further clarification? According to a previous post from a user, my trim code 12D translated into the 4th week of December 1968 manufacture date. If this is accurate, can you advice which carb number(s) would be correct for my Oshawa built 1969 442 that was built in December of 68? Thanks in advance!
