He's right. Those came on 68-69 motors.

Thanks. Is there any way to prove they are off a 442?

Big valves. Only Toronados and 442 got big-valve C's, though there are some documented 68-9 455-2 barrel engines with big-valve C's.

No. If they have small intake valves (2.000") then they did NOT come off a 442, but why do you care? All big valve C heads (used from 1967 through 1969, by the way) are the same and came on 442s, Toros, and full size cars. The only functional difference would be the pushrod holes if they came off of a motor with a 45 deg lifter bank angle. And if they were from a 67, one of the heads would have an engine unit number stamped on one end.

I just thought it would be cool, knowing that they were from a 442.

The 390 HP L-32 455s that went into the Deltas had big valves too.

That best explains big valve C heads.
