455 with rod knock, rebuild ideas??

Ok motor has a pretty bad rod knock. The bad, motor only has about 5000 miles on it, was rebuilt 10 years ago or so.
As far as specs, it is bored .30 over has TRW pistons, Comp cams magnum cam 280H, CC lifters, stock heads, Torker intake, and olds Q/A exaust manifolds. Has been a great motor, stump puller for sure. So going to pull it this week, and want to hear some ideas for what to do to it. Any one have any good oil galley/ oil pump ideas? Torquer intake seems good except for the bolt placement, anyone run a Victor Jr intake on their BB, any others really good? how about roller lifters and rocker arms, worth it or not? Ok lets hear some good ones, budget isn't crazy so no aluminum heads or other high tech things that will make me feel bad that I can't do them.

You just shut me up completely...but you should feel bad for putting limitations on my ideas so here goes:

Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake ported, matched
Edelbrock Performer heads all out competition CNC port
7/16" ARP Head studs
Mechanical Roller Cam, 3/8" oil restricting pushrods, full roller rockers
Keith Black IC886 pistons
Eagle Crank and Rods
Oil Restrictors in main journals
Billet main caps
ARP Main Studs
7qt Oil Pan
Melling high volume high pressure oil pump, hardened drive shaft
MSD Pro billet distributor

I'll build it if you pay for it Good luck man!

Killing me

Ok so you completely ignored my don't give me any ideas comment!! Bad!! Your motor looks great, those are nice dyno numbers too.And I like the Mondello intake with the cone in it!!! The only problem with going crazy on this thing is I have another car I am going to blow a bunch of money on soon which is and has been my dream car for a good 20 years. The olds was going to get buckets and a center console which I have already. The motor SHOULD have lasted a long time. So this motor has maybe 400hp on a good day, which was better than the amount the 350 had in it. So building it back the way it was will not be a horrible thing.

Okay, how about this:

Tear down, clean, evaluate bearing surfaces & tolerances, replace any rods that have been trashed, new bearing shells and seals, cc combustion chambers and calculate an accurate CR, talk to Mark Remmel ("CutlassEFI") about a custom cam grind for your own special setup, put 'er back together, and get back on the road.

Worrying about intake manifolds is splitting hairs unless you're racing or otherwise frequently taking your motor above 4,500 RPM (or so I've surmised...).

As long as you have a skilled angine builder, and leave out all the Mondello gimmick junk,it should run great.

Every thing is unhooked and unbolted, pulling it today and will start taking it apart. I like the oil restrictor idea, sounds like that makes a big difference. And simple is good in my book.
