455 engine swap
Will any year 455 olds engine bolt up to a 1977 olds cutlass supreme ?

Provided your trans and rear end can handle double the torque!

The bottom end on all modern Olds V8's (260-455 from 64-90 excluding the 64 394) are dimensionally the same so an engine swap is easy as pie.

Change the transmission as well, they lightened the drivetrain in '77, and the trans won't take the torque. Cracked two trans cases on my '77 350 by just putting it in reverse.

Good point! The 77s had the Buford V6 as an option. The frame mounts are completely different.
