Interesting that you bring that up.

A delete plate would be used to replace a "standard equipment" radio that had been installed on the assembly line and was removed later.

A block off plate would have been installed at the factory, to cover the empty space where the "optional at extra cost" radio would have been installed.

You are certainly free to call a spade a diamond, if you wish, but it is not fair to mislead the new (and not so new) followers of the car hobby.
A radio came standard in the Jetstar I. Thus its a delete plate. It actually came out of a 1965 Ninety Eight. It was a delete plate in that car as well.

Its actually interesting that YOU should bring it up, since I was using it as another illustration of a "waste of time / spin your wheels" type of argument typically engaged in by those who treat their knowledge as a boutique item to be displayed.
