Redog Sportin a Cowl Hood

I got a new carbon fiber / fiberglass cowl hood for my Alero about 2 months ago. The Cowl is not functional. The top of the hood is carbon fiber and the frame is fiberglass. The black you see on the sides of the cowl is the carbon fiber. The guy that owned it before me had it painted that way, not painting all the CF over. IDK how I feel about the CF being exposed.

The old hood was rusting out and had a small hole in it, so I needed a replacement

Car is 11 years old and just rolled over 134,000 miles

'Evil Redog' thats very sporty looking even if its just cosmetic. Nice job, did you paint just the hood or the whole car???

Is the hood from VHN or did the PO know? For 134K miles the car looks to be in good shape.

I dont remember who made the hood. I know the guy that ran the group buy for it lives in WI. There was only 9 made, 6 all fiberglass and 3 CF. The hood came off a red Alero with a blown engine in MN. Both guys I speak of are members of Aleromod.com I had the front fenders, hood (orginal hood) and rear bumper repainted when I was still with my ex-wife. She works for an auto training school. I only had to pay for paint. The rear bumper was repainted again in 2010 after I backed into a concret pole in the parking lot at work and took it down to the plastic. The driver's 1/4 panel was replaced in 2006 due to an accident. Rest of the paint is orginal
