Vin #s

VIN's of that era don't tell you much more than you can determine by just looking at the car. In this case, yours decodes into a 1965 Cutlass 2-door Sports Coupe (pillar car, not hardtop) built at Lansing. The VIN will not indicate 442 as the 442 was an option package on the Cutlass that year. It was only the '68 through '71 model years that the 442 was its own series and had a VIN to indicate this.
Post a good, clear photo of the body cowl tag, which is about the size of a credit card and is under the hood mounted to the firewall on the driver's side. It'll have codes on it with more info, such as build date, original exterior color or colors, possibly moldings, seat type, etc.

OK, I decode this as a 1965 Cutlass Sports Coupe with 442 option. Built the first week of May 1965 in Lansing. Lower and upper body colors are Target Red. Red vinyl Strato-bucket seat. Door edge chrome strips (I think). Remote outside mirror. Deluxe front seat belts with retractors.
How does this match up with what the car actually is or has?
How about some photos of the car?
If there are characters to the left of the "3D" and "5FW," I can't read them.
