Hello All,
Does anyone know the "correct" P.N. or have a picture of the correct underhood light for a '70 442 w/OAI.
I know it plugs into the harness just behind the master cylinder. Also that circuit is only "hot" when the parking light's or headlights are on. I checked and it is true......
Any info will be appreciated !

I have several numbers for that part as it appears to have changed through the years. The number I think is most recent while still being the correct 70 style is 983386. By correct 70 style, I mean that the socket for the bulb is a metal cylinder as opposed to the current replacement part 22529281 which looks the same except that the socket is a black plastic piece instead of the metal cylinder. Here's a pic of the correct 70 style.
Search ebay for 442 hood light and you'll find tons of the incorrect version. Here's one of them if you want to see what it looks like.
