Power/Non Power Brakes

Was referencing some information on 442.com about authentication regarding a 1970 442....they said if it is a 4-speed it should not have power brakes. Now if I remember right, that is only for the W-30 cars due to the cam not being able to produce enough vacuum for power brakes.....I have seen several '70 442's with power brakes. Am I remembering correctly? Thanks in advance, my '70 has a lot of documentation and the correct vin so this was just a bit confusing.....

You are correct. And I'd hazard to guess your memory is better than most of ours!

Welcome to the site Scott! What part of the PNW are you in? I have to admit on both my 1969 and 1970 I installed power disc brakes and power steering as I considered both as daily drivers. I don't have Popeye forearms and in a panic braking situation I really like power disc brakes. Although I saved the correct parts, they're hidden in the back of my garage in case I decide to return the cars back to original some day.
