Hi guys new member here. I've owned a few muscle cars over the years and have a empty garage at the moment I wasn't sure what was next. I was buying some engine parts off an older gentleman via craigslist and we ended up hitting it off and have become friends, well he has a 68 442 and has owned it for 30 years he's looking to start selling some stuff off and the 442 is on the list. He bought it off the orginal owner. Its been a project/hobby car for him he's probably put a couple of thousand of the 70k thats on it. It started out as turnpike cruiser, it now has a built 455, turbo 400 and 308 twelve bolt. The drivetrain has a couple of hundred miles on it, bucket seats column shift power brakes. No rust or rot he actually stripped the car painted it about ten years ago. Never any rust and the interior is in great shape. Its got old school mags and probaly nds tires. He wants me to buy the car and told me to make him an offer. Anybody have any thoughts on value?

Welcome. Unfortunately, without photos and more detailed info, any value estimates will range from scrap value to a million bucks. Hard to narrow that down without detailed photos.
FYI, unless the car was originally built in Canada, that's not a "12 bolt", it's a Type O axle that only has ten bolts holding the 8.5" ring gear. It is unique to the Cutlass line and parts are difficult to find. No Chevy 12 bolt parts fit.

I was going to say $15-$20, depending on closer inspection. A modified car will rarely bring the same money as a totally stock car, despite what the seller may think. When a car has been modified like that, you need to take a close look at how well the mods were done. I've seen too many cars like that where (for example) half the fasteners were left out when it was put back together.
