Sway bar bushing, does this look right?

Got my new bushings in for my 69 442 vert. They don't appear to be anywhere close. Are these designed to be that compressed, or do I have the wrong ones?

ordered from rock auto, they only showed 1 size. According to the box I got the part I ordered.

Is that a stock sized sway bar? If it is, there is some compression that will occur when you clamp down on the bushing w/ the bar in there.

nothing on the car would lead me to believe it is anything but stock.

Sway bars are easy to measure. Take your open end wrenches and slip over it, the smallest one that will slip over it is the size of the bar.

Those bushings are way too small for your bar. Measure the bar diameter and order bushings based on that. Many on-line catalogs are wrong. For example, my 67 Delta came with a 1" diameter bar from the factory. RA only lists a smaller bushing. I had to use a bushing listed for a 1971-76 Delta to get the right size.

I don't feel so bad now, ordered the same bushing from RA, too small.
The sway bar is about 1 inch diameter.
Ended up buying poly rubber ones can't remember from where, sorry.
