production numbers
I have a 69 442 conv. I know that there were 4295 produced, but can anyone tell me how many by color combo? Any way to tell? I have an ebony black with red interior. Also have a numbers matching 400 cid engine 3 speed auto. I'd like to know how many of the 4295 had that.

^^^ This. Also, something to consider - How many others owned the car before you, and is it the same configuration it left the factory? Black exterior is a popular choice for a lot of people. Check your Cowl Tag to see what the original colors were outside and inside.
It's sad that so many people who ask this same question can't get a better answer.

Another question...wherre can I find the actual coding to decipher my trim tag? I know most of it but trying to detrmine the TR 935 for trim combo and 10 A under paint. I believe the 10 is black and A is the conv top color.

As others mentioned there are no records of production break down other than body style & transmission.
Here is how the 4295 cars breaks down. All of them have the 400 cid engine. non W machines got the 325 hp engine with the automatic while manual trans cars got the 350 hp engine.
87 had 3 speed manual trans
1161 had 4 speed manual trans
3047 had 3 speed automatic trans

There are a number of publications that provide info on what the trim tag says. I would purchase an assembly manual if you do not already have one, as well as a chassis service manual. I have a pamphlet I bought from Supercars Unlimited (www.supercarsunlimited.com to see their on-line catalog) that provides a year-by-year breakdown of trim tag information. For instance, it says the TR 935 on your car indicates a red interior with bucket seats. And the 10A is a time build code - it says your car was built in October (10), first week of that month, 1968.

Randy, I am surprised you missed that 10 A . It's not the time build code, it is the PNT code. 10 is indeed Ebony Black, A is white vinyl top.
935 is indeed red vinyl strato bucket seats.

good stuff...
Thanks Randy and Allan. Confirms that my car is indeed all original colors. My code has 5B for second month of May, so thanks for confirming the 10A code.
Just finished the car so very excited to be in this group and on the road.
