These days it's hard to say but I would guess 15 to 20k. It sounds like a great car.

I saw a pretty nice red auto 69 442 drop top sell near me for 14. The economy is in "la toilete" and folks need cash before toys.

From what I've observed over the years, I think NADA values are definitely on the high side. I consider them far upper limits of values. NADA traditionally have good figures on regular late models, but that is because it is based on a data base of actual sales (or it used to be, at least).
There is no such data base for the sales of classic cars. So there's a lot of guessing going on out there. A good indication of how clueless NADA is, look at the options, etc, they adjust collector car prices by. Seems half the listings they have are either already part of the car, or not even available on it! On the '60s 442s, they list a 4-speed as a 5% adder. Yeah, right.
Regardless, something is better than nothing, and I think NADA is okay for relative values. But I think using NADA as a measure of what you can sell your collector car for is akin to using Barrett-Jackson.

Hilts, I have a posting in the newbie forum trying to get an overall value for a 68 cutlass and checked nada and manheim gold. Both seem high but who knows.

This is what Manheim (http://www.manheimgold.com) has a 69 442 listed as:
2D CONVERTIBLE 442 1968-69 400/350 V8 Fair 13,000Good 23,000Exc 45,000Show 56,000

Thanks for all the Input!

Hopefully I can actually get to see this car on the weekend! Maybe get some pics. The info I posted about it was supplied to me by another. The owner is undecided on price but said he is more concerned about it going to a GOOD HOME!.....Hope this means Good price! It will have Canadian Docs which is a real bonus.......
Another Value Guide I was told about is www.collectorcarmarket.com
They seem much more in touch with reality than most others.
I was thinking somewhere between high teens/low 20's for an offer considering the market is off anywhere from 20%-40% +
Let you know how I make out!

One last ???......how many shades of Green in '69?

Thanks

I actually think the seller may not be too far off. Can't recall the last time I saw that combo with power windows?? Not to mention an original owner car.

Good luck
