Templet for trunk lid 442 emblem holes?

Where can I find the correct emblem hole location for the trunk lid 442 emblems? I thought someone here said there is a templet being made for this but I can't find one. Also, What size are the holes?

I know Thornton's was selling a template kit. The Parts Place is selling theirs on ebay, but I have no idea how it is.

The parts place is $45 plus $6 shipping. Good lord, it is just a decal. After the first one is made they can print them by the hundreds for next to nothing. For that price, I had better check my trunk lids at my parents house first. Maybe one of them has 442 holes I can copy.
I can't find them on the Thorntons site.

I am looking for the same template for my '70 442 but $50 is not acceptable. Shame on them!

That $50.00 kit is for the fenders and trunklid, correct? I think Thornton's kit was about the same.

The ad said they can be reused. Maybe i can buy a set and then rent them out, lol. I don't typically complain about the price of things because I fully understand what is involved in manufacturing and bringing things to market and that all costs money. I also know what is involved in making decals like these.... Much less than other things.

I will have to bite my tongue and just get them. It will be a while till I am done with them but i will try to sell them for half price after I have mine done. lol, Maybe this is why they are so much....

I get the manufacturing thing too but when you just need the trunk and not the fenders it just throws the price way outa line. Eric I think you could make a killing if you buy the template, trace the pattern on paper and sell them on eBay for 15- 20 each.....

I have a few original 442 trunklids, and original 442 fenders. It's just a matter if taking the time to lay out a sheet, and punch the holes. That's an option,if you visit soon.Heck, you would be leaving with the template.

My schedule is the problem. I don't even have time to trace holes. We've had our house on the market for less than 2 days, and my already have a buyer,so now I am really buried.
