Ive seen gages in the CONSOLE before. More than once Ive seen someone who thought it was good idea to saw a hole in the top of their console and put gages in it.

My only choices would be the non-Olds gauges under the dash or the rally pac addition.
Real gauges are a must, but cutting on a rare dash would be a 'sin'...
I added the rally pac in my car. Not cheap, but it looks like belongs there and I can keep track of the engine's health. A volt meter would have been nice though - I might add a small LCD one in the ashtray...

Sweet and period correct as I remember them.

@TK: new one looks really great, congratulations !
but SW does not supply metric gauges, so even they look very good, i cannot use them.

i am more into that "remove the rear-defroster switch" thing and put them gauges, where nearly everybody else does... maybe some day, if i get rich and careless, i will cut the dash, but not now.

Happy New Year !

Yes they are! Zip on over to www.ultra-high-compression.com & you'll see a complete documentation of the project AND....
a spread in Muscle Car Enthusiast!

Ralph

BTW: My post car (see Avatar) also has the gauges under the dash. For me, the only place. As has been said, period correct & easy to go back pure stock.
@ Alex: Not sure, but there are others who make similar gauge clusters for under the dash, just not sure if any make metric. On the other hand, all the data & other readings are US, so what's the big deal about using SAE? It'd actually be nore correct!
