I drove my '71 down to the Rolex 24 hour race at Daytona International Speedway. She ran great on the drive from Charleston SC down to Daytona and back. I had a infield parking pass and the guys from Grassroots Motorsports Magazine put her in their show area where she got a lot of attention and while driving around in the infield she was a real crowd favorite.

Awesome pictures!!! Thank you for sharing As a side note, what was your gas mileage driving to the event?
I'm asking because I'm planning to drive my 442 to Irvine, California for "Cars & Coffee". Round trip will be about 1,600 miles and I'm trying to guess MPG driving on the interstate

The pictures look amazing. Once my convertible top gets fixed I plan on giving my car a good cleaning and doing a little photoshoot. If my pictures turn out half as good as yours I'll be alright

Thanks guys
Allan R; its not really a ding more like a wavy spot that was there when I bought the car, the heavy lights seemed to flatten out her wavy spots except that one.
Wraythe: On the way down it was damp and raining and I took it easy (65-70mph) and got close to 14 mpg, on the way home making better time (75-80mph) i dropped down to 12mpg

Wraythe: I drove down on my own, I hate to admit this but I have no idea what gear ratio I have, all I can tell you is I have had her up to 90 and still had plenty of gear left so I would guess its a low number.
Nate: plans actually came together at the last minute but I can tell you that I will be going to the 24 again next year, it was an amazing time:
And one of the best parts was driving the 442 around the infield so she will be back with me!
