1986 442

i was asking i had just got a 442 and the motor blowup and i was wonding if i sould go with the 455 i kno that the 86 came stock with the 307 but i think a 403 is in it now would the 455 bolt up on my mounts or not or is the 350 better i hope u guys can help me out

The 455 Olds bolts to the same mounts and trans as the 403 or 307. The 455 is a taller deck block, so you'll have less clearance to the A/C box and master cylinder (though it will fit). You'll also have a problem with the small block accessory brackets. The 76-earlier brackets will fit both big and small block Olds motors but the 307 brackets are small block only and require some modifications to fit the big block. Also, use 455 exhaust manifolds.

i have another thing the ac box if i take that off is that just ac or is the blower for the heat in there to
