75 cutlass supreme tires.. TA's??

What size tires would look good on this car??? Open for opinions.

Stock is FR-78-15 = to P195/75/15 26.5" dia
Current is HR - 78-15 = to P215/75/15 27.7" dia

The car is white with stock white rally rims.

Looking at purchasing BF Goodrich TA's white letters.

Would it be too much white??
What size would look good? As you can see, I have real old tires on there currently and they are black walls.... HR-78-15

Sizes
225/70/15 27.4" dia
235/70/15 28" dia
235/60/15 26.1" dia
245/60/15 26.6" dia

Either blackwall or white letters out, whichever you prefer. From your tire size selection I'd go with the 245/60/15's those would easily fit on 15X7 wheels and fill up the wheelwell a little better.

I don't think I've welcomed you to the site yet... so glad your here! If you've not found the 73-77 Olds site I'd encourage you to check it out as well. I hope you continue to participate here too, but you may get some good information about your car there. John

Welcome, Tuffnut, to CO! Glad you are here. Nice lookin' '75! I like the BFG's with the raised white letters. Size, whatever fills the wheelwell.

75 cutlass supreme tires.. TA's

Thanks guys... I have definately decided on the TA's so far with raised white letters....

I'm concerned the 245's might be to wide....

I know it's not the same car, but it is one from the era...

235/60R15's fit very nicely and don't look like marshmallows on the sidewalls. SSIII 15" wheels. The sidewall is pretty even with the trim ring.

I was going to go with T/A's and was in the process of paying when I asked how much of a difference the Firestone Firehawks were. He told me $1 a tire. Since tirerack.com was giving slightly higher reviews on the Firestones, I went that route.

Would put another set on it a heartbeat, even thought I am a die-hard BFG fan for Mustangs.

I've had 235/60's on 15x7 rims before and they look perfect. Not too tall, and just the right ammount of sidewall bulge.

You might check out the 73-77 site to view pictures of different tire sizes. I used to have a 1976 Cutlass with 255/60/15's and I really liked them. John
