Keep the current front tires or go BFG RWL's all around?
My current 205/75R14's on the front are nearly new. They handle fine but are skinny and the front end sits higher than the back. I was thinking of 235/60R14's on the front, current back tires and 245/60R14's on the back. Just not sure if the $350 is better spent elsewhere.

I can always go white paint marker on the front lettering as well, would look good. The rear tires are 25" tall, the front are 26" tall. If I went 245/60R14 on the back, the height would be one inch lower in the front. Not sure if filling in the wheel well and lowering the front a bit is worth $350 when there is nothing wrong with my tires. An inch might do the trick, thinking it was only 1/2".

All of your suggested options are too small in diameter. If you want to keep the 14" wheels, then 225/70-14s will look the best at 26.5" in diameter. The tallest 60 series tire available today in 14" is the 245/60-14, and that's about an inch smaller in diameter than the 225/70s. Anything smaller belongs on a Civic.

I would just go with whatever Joe says on this because he really knows this topic (and pretty much every other one.) When I got my AR wheels and tires before, I should have just went with what he said. Although they looked ok in the end, they didn't match the car that well. It can end up being an expensive mistake.

If I needed all four I would agree with Joe. Maybe my body work made the wheel openings even wider looking. The 245's also work with my current speedo gear in my planned 2004R swap.

Ely442, what size is on your 70 S? Due to fender differences, skinnier tires look OK on the convertible. Joe it also means I need to swap the driven gear which can be a bitch. $300+ up here for a pair of BFG TA's, need 4 vs 2 unless keep the 235/60R14's on the front, which would look stupid.

They are nice, I have to agree. I currently have the dog dish rims on my 88 Cutlass Supreme Classic Brougham. Those Alloy rims are the factory 88 rims. I plan on doing a bunch of body work on 88 this winter and painting it Purple once weather turns nice enough. I may leave the rims black and just add trim rings or they may turn purple but staying black is easier to maintain and swap as I like.

Even thou I wasn't happy with my last set of BFG rwl tires, disappointed me due to the yellow tinge coming through the lettering. Having said that, I would probably buy another set just because I have ran them for the past 35 years or so with no issues on the 70's and 80's cars I've owned over the years.
If it were me, I would probably hold out for a nice set of 15" rims and leave the alloys seen in your avatar pic.
I think it looks nice as it is , I would put my money on something else and look for kijiji deals on rims and tires over the winter.
If you keep it at 14's , I myself would run 245/60/14 on rear and 235/60/14 front if you don't plan on rotating them , If rotating , I would go 235/60/14 on all 4 corners with the BFG RWL.

I have 3 SS3 15" rims. I should have had 5 but some bastard stole two off the car before I bought it. It was a 76 Olds Cutlass, good 350, near mint interior, which I sold for $200. I used the 350 in the Olds powered 4x4 and only paid $50 for the whole car but it still sucks, one rim short. I just bought 4, 15" Monte SS/Camaro rims that I may Oldsmobilize them. I will probably leave it as is for now but it depends on how much I like the basic wheels with the stainless outer trim rings, only $50 for a set of 4. I did realize, I need to stop buying **** and buy a storage shed. I have did a major clean out and could hardly fit my Dakota in.
