1955 trunk pan rust repair

Hi All
The very rear of the trunk floor pan on my 1955 4dr sedan is rusted out so thoroughly that theres nearly nothing left. Im referring to the very rear section where the trunk latch attaches. Im trying to figure out what I need to do to repair it and need some help, if anyone would be so kind.

Looking in the Master Body Parts Book, there seems to be a cross beam that sits bewteen the frame and the trunk pan. It was gone on my car when I bought it and I have no idea what exactly the beam is supposed to look like, how far it extends left and right, or how (if) it interacts with the gas tak support beams.

I've attached (hopefully) some pics from the Body Parts Book to indicate the piece I am referring to. If anyone has pictures of what this piece or this area is supposed to look like, or if you can provide any other information at all, it would be greatly appreciated. Im kinda stuck until I get this figured out.

Thanks and Happy New Year

Dan
