Question Black Rubber Washer thing...Help

Hi Everyone. I just took the side cover off the transmission yesterday. My leak was caused by a black rubber washer where the shifting linkage whent into the transmission. I need to know where I can find one or if any black washer will do. Also if anyone has any info on what i should check while I am in there that would also be useful. The transmission is a 1955 hydra-matic.

Any imput is useful. Thanks alot

Also, does anyone know the correct color for the transmission pan and side cover

Thanks Ted, I think someone messed around with mine because it is a clown-blue. I think I might take them and Sand blast them, But I am not sure. I just bought all the gaskets I need except the selector shaft seal. Hopefully the transmission shop in town will be able to help me.

Do you have any pictures of your car?
