Kick Down Cable?
Hey guys, I have a '68 oldsmobile and the motor I put in it back in high school I believe is a 1977 350 with a TH350 Transmission. I have put I am pretty sure is the Kick Down Cable, running from the passenger side of the transmission and right now is clipped into a bracket toward the back of my carbuerator on the drivers side. I have read that this cable is suppose to run through the firewal directly to your gas pedal. It seems to me like it should be routed to my carbuerator. Does it hook directly to my throttle linkage on my carbuerator? And if so how do I rig it properly?

On my 72 the kickdown cable goes right to the gas pedal. However, it limits how far the gas pedal goes down! Obviously it is out of adjustment or something...
Hopefully some tranny experts will chime in here and set us straight...
