67 442 automatic - shift location?

Is the transmission shifter for a 67 442 supposed to be on the column (steering wheel) or on the floor by your right elbow?

Or did they do it both ways?

Was one way more common or valuable than the other?

Thank you!

I dont know which was more common, but i think column shift was standard equipt. and floor was an option. I also guess there were more who chose the floor shift which only came with bucket seats, but i think column shift was available with buckets or bench. I know it was in 69. IMO column shift is pretty cool.
