I am working from memory here but I think for 1969 the 455 toro engine was rated at 365 bhp and the "plain jane" version in the B bodies was rated at 320 bhp. List your vin and someone here can check it for sure with references. Welcome to our site.

If I am correct the 1969 toro motors were rated at 375 hp the only toro motors rated at 400 hp were the W-34 package, the W-34 cars have a OM transmission code. 375 hp cars have OJ transmission codes.

'69 OJ trans code engines were 375 HP @ 4600 Rpms , 510 ft #s of torque @ 3k rpms.
and the w-34 (OM) engines were rated at 400@4800, 500 FT#s @ 3200 Rs. IMHO I like the 425s in the 66- 67 Toros best ; 385 HP and 475 Ft#s. |

1969 Toronado production was around 28,500, W-34 production for 1969 is unknown, only about 13 are known to exist and only 5 of those have been documented as W-34's
Last edited by coppertopgmc : 11-21-2007 at 07:02 PM. Reason: wrong number of production |
