Hi! I ordered some material to replace and tune up my 68 Toronados interior and have a number of questions that may be specific for that Toro. I can't find answers in the shop manual (not even in the fishers body manual).
1. Did the 68 Toro had some kind of separator panel behind the back seat backrest (towards the trunk)? Mine has nothing left there - no trunk-lining at all. If yes: was it behind the crossmember that holds the backrest? But in front of the spare wheel? Or did it hide the spare wheel? 2. How was the trunk-lining? Did it cover the holes/recesses on both (left and right) sides of the trunk? It's a good place to store some tools or spare parts but may be once there was a flap or so to open/close them?? 3. I still have the genuine jack. The jacks base plate has its place in the center of the spare wheel - but where did they put the long, post-like piece of the jack to get it's place? 4. I have a bench (front seats) in front which is motorized. Can someone give me e tip how to get this thing out of the car? The easiest way? How many screws, how many cable-connections? 5. To be honest: I could not even find out how to remove the rear seat bench . I don't find where and how it is fixed to the body...6. What I never did before: How much time will it take to replace the upper weatherstrip along the roofs edge (at the side, that seals between side glass and roof). I assume hardest thing is to remove the old one properly? Is the replacement tricky or easy? Any tricks or hints?? Thanks for your help!!
