Need help finding where I can run a vin number to find out what I have. it is a 13 dig number (pre 1981)

For 1972-newer cars, you can get the official GM VIN cards here, which will allow you to decode your VIN. Be aware that the only info you will get from the VIN is model, body style, year, assembly plant, and build sequence number. The 1972-up VINs also have the engine code.
