72 Old Cutluss ~ Problem

Hey, I am having a problem where when I turn the key the starter doesnt turn really nothing happens at all (did check the fuse), but I am able to jump the starter and the car runs fine. Battery and Alt are good. Any ideas what could be the problem.

Check the wire going to starter to see if its hot when the key at the start pos. Might want to check the linkage go from the trans to the steering column make sure its adjust right or the neutral safety switch would keep it from starting. Also might to check the wire going from the starter to the coil.

If you don't have power at the starter. May be the netural safty switch itself. Try starting it in netrual. or pulling up on the shifter.
