W-36 watch

There were three 1968 442s (all real!) for sale at Carlisle yesterday. One had a 350, one had a 455, and one was engine unknown. Of the three, two had the W-36 stripes added. Both were not original W-36 cars. AAAARRRGGGGHHHH

Must of been disappointing. Most likley they were nice cars at one time and then someone decides to build a fake and call it the real thing what a waste

Just to be clear, my frustration in the original post stemmed from my crusade against 1968 cars with the W-36 stripe painted on a car that did not come with it originally. This is painfully obvious because the factory relocated the 442 emblems when the stripe was used. Unfortunately, it seems that every single 68 must have the stripe painted on now.

As for these three cars, the 350 and 455 cars were both black and both very, very straight. Nice body and paint work.
