350 SB Heads
I'm just getting back into something I think is fun. I got a 73 350 #8 heads cheap. Run of the mill stuff. I want to bring it back a little better than when it was built. Would a set of 5A heads be something to consider as a start to increase comp (.93 increase) flat top pistons, mild cam. I'm looking for 300 hp in the end.

Are you talking about 5A heads from a 307 or 5 heads from a 350?

Just a little more info. The VIN derivitive on the block is 33W134707. The "W" is confusing to me. A realiable source sugests the "W" is a miss aligned "M" . I have never seen a "M" so I don't know what it looks like upside down. The oil filler tube is 3864688 may not be orig. crank is 393654 (74) and the julian date code is 172, so I'm thinking late 73 early 74.
I do think this site is a MUST for anyone who into anything Olds |
