i heard they called the jetaway transmission the "junk away" because it is garbage... and that people replaced them with later model transmissions... but dont take my word for it.

That carb is for a
1958-65 400", 425" ENG SUPER 88, 98

I'd try to get a rebuild kit from here:http://www.riley-autoparts.com/CARBURETOR_O.html or here:http://www.cmwauto.com/MainMenu/Engi...dsCarbKits.htm

And rebuilt the original.

NHRA info. for 64 330" carb id. http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/engin...ts/OLDS-64.rtf

I believe that carb is correct for a 1964 Olds equipped with a 394, though as the other user suggested the rebuild kit covers various years and model cars with a 4Jet. It may work on your car, but likely is not jetted properly for it. Not sure about linkage issues either.

per volume 1 of the united delco/rochester number 9 book:
7024050 is correct for super 88, 98, jetstar I, and starfire, all trans. w/o crank case ventilation.

the correct carb. number, for your application is:
7024054 for auto trans.

differences are:
accelerator pump assembly
air horn assembly
primary float assembly
power piston assembly
power valve assembly
venturi cluster assembly-primary
venturi cluster assembly-secondary
primary jets
secondary jets
choke housing
choke stat & cover
choke rod
float bowl assembly
throttle body assembly

4gc carbs. are like a fingerprint, they're very unique to the application.
rebuild your old one and hope and pray you don't need floats-they are unobtainable.

if you don't feel confident doing it yourself, www.sparkyscarbs.com is a great place for a professional rebuild.
