dipstick too small

I purchased a dipstick for my Olds 350, and it was too small for the hole. The actual shape seemed to be close. Does anyone know of a place that has the right one for sure, I dont want to have to go through the pain of returning it again. Its a 77 350.

Sorry I missed this. Do you mean the top gasket does not seal well? Is the tube an aftermarket chrome one? or is the dipstick aftermaket chrome? If you are just looking for a replacement dip stick, why not get one from the junk yard? I have found that they seal vey well on all stock tubes.

Did you mean the dipstick, or the tube?
