radiator hose

Does anyone on the list know where I can get an upper radiator hose for a 65 F-85 with a 330? Auto parts stores don't have them, and Year One doesn't either. Fusick's only goes back as far as '66.
I don't want the flexible style upper radiator hose. I want a molded hose that is like what the original equipment would have been.
Does anyone know if the 66 upper radiator hose would work on a '65? Maybe I can just order that from Fusick's. I assume it's different, though.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Try Kanter Auto Parts. I don't know if a radiator hose from a 66 would fit a 65.

If it did, Fusick would have it listed as 64-67 (with the disclaimer) instead of 66-67.

With a little imagination, you could probably make it fit.

Ok then, here is one

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...highlight=hose

here is another

When I installed the 455 in my '46 project car the hose for a 60's era car would not fit to the radiator and the original '46 hose for the straight six wouldn't fit either. I had an aftermarket radiator that was taller and narrower than a 60's radiator would be and was actually a little shorter than the original '46 radiator but did have the inlet on the upper driver's side similar to the 60's era ones. I had to buy a radiator hose to fit the engine and cut it in the middle, shortening it about two inches. To repair it I inserted a short section of iron pipe that fit tightly and then clamped it with two hose clamps. It doesn't look as nice as an original molded hose but definitely better than a flex hose would. I positioned the clamps so the nuts were on the lower side and wouldn't show to much. You may have to do something like that.

The reason why the hoses are different is that 64-65 cars use a downflow radiator and 66-67 cars use a crossflow radiator.

Exactly, caused a little trouble, but nothing some ingenuity can't overcome.

Yes, they are available because I just purchased 2 about a month or so ago. When I get home I will check what website I found them on.

hose

Ok, I purchased the hose from supercarsunlimited.com (unable to get web page to open site might be down?)

The cost for the molded hose was $19.99 part number 32-150 they only carried the upper not the bottom. I am still searching for a bottom hose..

hose

Well, I think they are ugly and never really had any good luck with them in the past (20 plus yrs ago) they never lasted as long as molded ones.

Or, for those of us who have AC, P/N 32-152 at $22.49.

Thanks for the info.

Check Rockauto.com great database of parts at low prices. They show multiple options for the upper and lower hoses from $9-11.

Found a Dayco part# for 64/65 upper and 65 lower, molded hoses. Might be the same one Supercars Unlimited sells.

In '64 only, water pump inlet was on the left, and used a different lower hose.

Glad they had what you needed. I have bought numerous parts from those guys and found them to be very well priced. Be warned on shipping if you buy from multiple OEM vendors through their site. Some parts seem to ship straight from the vendor for higher shipping costs.
