307 Intake on my 71 350?

It appears that I have an intake manifold from a mid 80's 307 installed in my 71 Cutlass Supreme's 350 block (with a Edelbrock 1405 600 cfm carb). Anyone have thoughts on how this would impact performance? The ID# on the manifold is 22528212. What would you recommend as a better performance combination?

You can go here to see what is says http://www.442.com/oldsfaq/ofinm.htm
May you allready have.....

It has smaller ports, so it would lower the total performance potential.

Good thing is, its aluminum, so your saving weight. For a street car, its not hurting you a great deal. Obviously you want more power. Now, unless you want to spend some coin, you could get the Edelbrock peroformer, or locate one of the desirable factory ones from a w car. By the way, they are being reproduced now.

Meh. I wouldn't worry about it if it's just a regular driver.
I put an edelbrock performer on my daily driver for kicks one day and didn't notice a spit of difference, except that I was short on lunch money for a while.

The early 80s A4 intake is a good replacement for an iron SBO intake. Good size ports and comparable breathing in a lightweight package. The late 80s A5 isn't even a good doorstop.

I have also heard that the Edelbrock performer doesn't do much for HP. The Performer RPM might be a better choice.

Thanks for the feedback... I was shopping for a daily driver when I bought my car, but I wound up with a beautiful body restoration... great chrome, great black paint, new top. Really looks incredible, so now I'm afraid to drive it as much as i planned to.

I'll be dropping some money into door panels to finish the interior, then I was thinking about maybe $1Kish in engine improvements (maybe headers, etc) to get a better sound and a bit more performance. Right now I'm trying to understand exactly what I have under the hood... I bought the car for the body, even though it drives without issue.
